We are a couple of innovators with over 30 years of software engineering between us. One is genius-type a unix engineer who has worked at CERN and the NSA, the other 100 ideas a day kind of entrepreneur, web-developer type. We spent the past year developing a lot of different modules of software into useful business products which are now ready to be used by customers out in the real world.
What have we done?
Want to see some examples of our software & products? Of course you do. Here are just a few.
Clever little compiled Linux service. Runs on servers and allows real time monitoring of devices as diverse as Cloud Servers or Android Phones. Massif Droid on Google Play
Integrates any website page with the excellent Flickr API, showing Geo-Tagged photos next to a zooming map.
Living Websites MicroSites. WordPress MultiSite Marketing Network.
Our unique business approach
We are a business of customers, not clients. We’re trying to create customer base of thousands, all paying a monthly subscription for the service they use. Memberships can cancelled at any time but won’t be if the customers find the service valuable and useful. It’s a new, efficient, entirely web-based revenue model that we would love people to want to copy. We’re all about Open-Source.
Markets for this software are easy to target and find. WordPress Users, Flickr Users, Web Hosting Companies – different products fit in to different business models and there is plenty of scope for cross selling.
We already use Living Websites Cloud to successfully market many businesses online, so we’ll continue to use and develop this.
How will we get the attention of our audience? Organic Search. It’s free, and we’re getting quite good at it. Try it. Search for ‘listingslab’ on Google.
Our software meets many current business needs. From Search Marketing to Live Cloud Server Monitoring. It’s modular, scalable, standards-compliant and it works. We know because we use it ourselves. Even though the different niches for our modules are scattered, they all have certain things in common.
- All are delivered quickly, with little or no extra overhead, even by a remote sales team.
(Fulfillment is automated as much as possible)
- All are billed through a common system.
(PayPal recurring payment including a Free Trial at signup, giving people an opportunity to cancel before being billed)
- All can be demonstrated, set up and sold by easily trained salespeople who need no technical experience, just an ability to work a browser, a bit of time and some flair.(Perfect for outsourcing – it means affiliates can be offered much more interesting percentages)
